RONI IRON Biography
Roni Iron was born in Athens in 1981 and a few year later he moved to Nafplion, in which he lives until today. It’s a small town by the sea that has inspired Roni to create most of his music.
It was 1992 when inspired by the vinyl discs of that time, synth music and DJs like Richie Hawtin and Steve Lawler, he starts playing music in the rhythm of minimal techno, house and techno house, leaving his personal print in the music clubs and concerts of that time.
Until today he has worked with the biggest labels in Greece like Fell good (ex Sony music) and Planetworks, and with world acclaimed artists like Chaim – Nick Varon – Deep Dish , Christian Varela, Marco Bailey and many more but also with Greek artists like Alexandros Christopoulos, Vassilis Tsilichristos – J. Gerontakis – Cj Jeff, – James Benitez, Andrianos Papadeas.
His work in the whole spectrum of electro music became a big hit in radio shows and is increasing until today. In 2014 “Ekremotita” remix gained excellent reviews from the singer of the song Natassa Bofiliou and from the song’s producer and songwriter since it was the first time that such a song was remixed in Greece.
Tracks like Black Diamond(CD Suite 2014 / Lounge/Downtempo), Make my nights (Planetworks / House) Delerium – Silence & Billy ray martin remixes win the crowds on radio stations across the country and lead him abroad in labels like WTF!Music//Heavenly bodies but also in continuous hits in foreign charts like Beatport.
For the new year he performed in N.Y.E.Athens, in country’s biggest event in which 11 top DJs from the national and international stage presented the special N.Y.E sets and covered a wide range of electro music. He appeared in the specially constructed Insomnia stage along with Luca Bacchetti, Sante, Cj jeff, Mihali safra and Gus & Bonso. On Jan. 2015 together with Dino Grand they remixed the massive hit “Touch Me (All Night Long)” by Cathy Dennis (no1 in USA Hot-Dance Club Play and no2 in Billboard Hot 100) and it is the first time that acclaimed producer Stefan Biniak releases a remix on a Greek production!
It’s no coincidence that the media included him in the list with Greece’ best dance music DJs, as his love for music, his ability to connect with the audience and to create the proper atmosphere are well known to the Greek techno music community.
Older hits include Eyes of the Sea (2011) Dream of you remix (2012), Amame (2013) and Da grecia( 2013) which were massice hits in radio stations across Greece.
