It seems that everything good in Greece take a while to become true. For instance the Acropolis Museum. The new not the old one. What triggered the need for a new building was the need for the return of the Parthenon Marbles back to their roots. The British were claiming that Greece did not have a suitable space to place them and so they persistently refused. Apart from that, the continuous findings of archeological artifacts made clear that a new Museum had to be build.
This project might have a starting point back in the late 80s but now finally, in the the year 2016, the new Museum of Acropolis in Dionisiou Aeropagitou street gets acknowledged and takes its rightful place among the top Museums of the World.
